Manufacturer-published Gen11 specifications checked on Babolat UK on 7 October 2026. Swingweight and RA are Babolat specifications, not independent lab measurements.
UK buying options
Frame quotes are dated observations. Add strings, labour and delivery where required.
Trade-off: The 98 sq in head asks for clean contact. Stretched wide or late on a quick return, there’s less frame to bail you out. The Blade 100 gives you a little more room.
Trade-off: The weight and small head make rushed shots hard work. If you want easy handling, look elsewhere.
Strings and ownership
Use the manufacturer range above where it is published. Agree the material, thickness and starting tension with your stringer; there is no universal setup for this frame.
These are other reviewers’ findings, not our own play tests. Their strings, tension and playing style may differ from yours.
Pure Drive pop with more control and stability, but firmer and more demanding than the 100.
They liked
A good balance of control and power
More stable than the standard Pure Drive
More spin than the 16×20 pattern suggests
Watch out for
Several testers called it stiff
Less forgiving than the 100, so you need sound technique
Less free power when you're defending
Where they differ: Tennisnerd found it softer-feeling with his string setup than the previous 98; several Tennis Warehouse testers still felt it played firm.
Suits: Confident players who want controlled power rather than help.
