How we work

Advice from someone with nothing to sell.

We don’t stock rackets, shoes or strings, so there’s nothing here we need you to buy. The advice is written for UK club players, and it’s independent.

Who is behind the site

I’m Reinhard Streicher. I built this site for UK club players who’d rather fix an on-court problem than throw money at it. For now it’s a one-person project.

How I research gear

Racket specs come from the manufacturers, and each profile names its source. The trade-offs are what those specs suggest, not what I felt on court: these are research summaries, not play tests. If a profile says its specs haven’t been rechecked, confirm the exact model and generation before buying. Those rackets stay out of the finder until they’ve been checked.

UK prices are dated snapshots of public shop listings, not live offers. Before you order, check the exact version, grip size, strings, delivery and stock with the retailer.

How recommendations work

The finder gives you a short list to demo, based on what you tell it happens on court. Sometimes the answer is to keep your racket or change the strings first. Your own demo counts for more than any spec sheet.

Money and limits

We don’t stock anything and nobody pays to appear here. There are no paid placements and no discount codes.

Some links to shops are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the shop pays us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would going to the shop directly.

Commission never decides what we recommend. The finder’s shortlist comes from published specs and what you tell it happens on court. Shops under a price are listed cheapest first, with in-stock shops ahead of sold-out ones, and shops that pay us nothing stay on the list.

There’s no lab testing and no player testimonials either.

Cookies and shop links

This site doesn’t set cookies or run analytics. When you click a shop link that earns commission, the click passes through Awin, the network that tracks the sale, and Awin or the shop may set its own cookies so the sale is credited to us. Their privacy policies explain what they collect. The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts.

Used gear and corrections

The A–D used grades are a buyer’s checklist, not a certificate. When a price or spec is wrong, I correct it and update the page date and source. Older articles stay in the archive.
